Hollywood, CA – Early retirement is the dream of just about every working slob. The ability to sit back and enjoy life rather than slaving away at a miserable job day after day is something most if not all of us would rather be doing. In the realities of the modern economy though not only is early retirement out of the question but even old age retirement is gradually becoming a fantasy. For a rare handful however who have had a great deal of success retirement is not a dream, even when it comes at the age of 24.

Such is the case for former child star Amanda Bynes who on Sunday announced her retirement from showbiz. Making her mark in diverse projects such as ‘The Amanda Show’, ‘She’s the Man’, and ‘Big Fat Liar’, Bynes was a prototypes for a successful child star. Well balanced and intelligent, Bynes never gave into the indulgences that had beset many of her predecessors and peers such as Lindsay Lohan. Though she may eventually mount a comeback at some point, the reality of her retirement is upon the entertainment world. Her departure may not have the same kind of impact of a bigger star, but the loss is still tangible for an entire generation of moviegoers who had one dreamed of seeing her lose her clothes on the big screen.

“I've never written the movies & tv shows I've been apart of I've only acted like the characters the producers or directors wanted me to play. Being an actress isn't as fun as it may seem. If I don't love something anymore I stop doing it. I don't love acting anymore so I've stopped doing it. I know 24 is a young age to retire but you heard it here first I've #retired,” Bynes announced on her Twitter account sending off a flurry of activity amongst her many followers and the media at large. She did not immediately state what new plans if any she has for the future.

“There are a handful of actors whose loss would be a huge blow to the entertainment community and the art of film. Amanda Bynes is not one of those people but there will undoubtedly be a handful of people who will lament this loss. People who grew up watching her shows and movies and dreamt of seeing her jiggle on the big screen for a number of years to come will no doubt feel this pain very significantly even if the rest of us could care less,” said Scrape TV Entertainment analyst Tracey Temple. “I’m sure she’ll be back in very short order though I have to say that there may not be spot for her. Anthony Hopkins has retired a number of times, as has Michael Caine, but Bynes is neither one of those people. They will always have a home but that may not be the case for her. Her style just has a limited appeal.”Though she has appeared in almost 20 separate projects it’s not clear in which of them she did the acting she was referring to in her tweet.

“I’m sure that for anyone between the ages of 20 and 25 had a serious crush on Bynes and had hoped that she would have gone onto more significant and less clothed roles in the future but that seems to at least be on hold. Of course if she doesn’t come back for a few years she will have started to sag and they will have gotten wives so her appeal might be limited,” continued Temple. “Of course there’s always the sex tape route. Those do well for people who are barely celebrities but for someone who has been in the public eye and already made a mark that would be a huge boon to the career. I guess we’ll have to wait and see, or not, no biggie.”Bynes final role will be in ‘Final A’. No one involved with the production had anything to say about her performance at all.

Six cop cars and a helicopter finally caught up to the actress who claims to have not noticed that she hit the other vehicle. Officers believed her story, noting that the damage was so minimal it's possible she didn't feel the bump.

Though she wasn't cited for this hit and run, the actress is still in the running to lose her license. If you recall the first Amanda Bynes hit and run, you'll remember that she was arrested for driving under the influence. In early April, she tried to pass a police car but ended up hitting it instead.

Rumor has it she refused to submit to a blood alcohol test at that time, and Radar Online reports that prosecutors plan to file refusal-related charges. Under California's implied consent law, such a refusal is supposed to result in an automatic 1-year license suspension.

Even if Bynes didn't refuse the test, a DUI conviction will make her license disappear for at least four months -- and possibly more. Back in March, she was pulled over for talking on her cell phone while driving, which is illegal in the state. While the officer wrote her a ticket, she fled the scene. Both of Amanda Bynes' hit and runs and the March incident will make it very difficult for a judge to let her get back behind the wheel.

Nearly a month after getting arrested for driving under the influence and side-swiping a police cruiser, Amanda Bynes is in trouble again. According to a report put out by People on Saturday (May 5), the "She's The Man" actress reportedly side-swiped another vehicle with her black Range Rover in Los Angeles on Friday near the intersection of Crescent Heights and Melrose Boulevard and continued to drive away.

According to Los Angeles Police Officer Sgt. Ben Zucker, the 26-year-old may not have known she even hit someone. When talking to the publication the officier said, "At 4:25 p.m., we were notified of a possible hit-and-run," adding, "the caller followed Miss Bynes for a short distance to a gas station.”

After arriving on scene the Sgt. Zucker explained, "It turned out the damage to the pick-up truck was so minor that it was very plausible she had no idea that she hit anyone.”Due to the factors involved in this accident, the former Nickelodeon actress walked away with no charges as officials said, “There were no arrests made and no one was injured.” Though driving under the influence was a factor in her previous accident, LAPD says there was no indication that the actress was intoxicated.

She was arrested in April for a DUI and now Amanda Bynes has additional legal woes. The 26-year-old starlet will be charged with failing to take a breathalyzer test following her brush with the law in West Hollywood last month. At the time she was charged with the suspicion of being under the influence.

California law enforcement officials now tell RadarOnline.com: 'Amanda Bynes refused to take a breathalyzer test, or blood test, which is required under California law when someone is arrested for a DUI. 'Bynes will be officially charged with refusal to take a chemical test in connection with being arrested on suspicion of DUI, and this should happen in the next one-two weeks. 'Amanda's first court date will be in Beverly Hills at the beginning of June. She won't be required to be there because it's only a misdemeanour.'

The She's All That actress was arrested on April 6, just three days after celebrating her birthday. A statement from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department read: 'A Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy in a marked black and white radio car was stopped at the intersection of N/B Robertson Boulevard and Santa Monica Boulevard preparing to turn right onto Santa Monica Boulevard.

'When a black BMW driven by actress Amanda Bynes attempted to pass to the right of the radio car, colliding with the right rear quarter panel of the radio car. 'Amanda Bynes was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence and booked at West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station.'

If convicted of the DUI charge, she faces up to 48 hours in jail and losing her drivers license for one year. It does not help Bynes' case that she has been a fixture on the nightclub circuit, frequenting spots like Greystone Manor and The Standard Hotel. However, her father argues that she does not drink and a DUI wouldn't have been possible. Rick Bynes told People.com in the past: 'She was not drunk. I was told that she blew a zero on the breathalszer. 'She didn't have a single drink that night. My daughter doesn't drink.'

A disproportionally large number of famous folk dress like fools when they hit Coachella, which at this point could be rebilled as a fashion show for the style-challenged celebs of L.A.

Vanessa Hudgens spent one day roaming around in her best Tiger Lily costume and the next in daisy dukes fashioned from her mom's old jeans, faux cowboy boots and a dress/vest thing. Girlfriend looked a hot, sun-addled mess and had no idea. She kept flashing her peace sign at the photogs and grinnin' like somebody who looks good.

I'm hoping that Hudgens was either high or getting all method-acting for an upcoming role as a high schooler who would have fit in on the grassy knoll Alicia Silverstone references in "Clueless."

Paris Hilton was dressed like she'd tried to marry Rachel Zoe's fashion aesthetic with Brooke Hogan's wardrobe, Jared Leto worked the scene in his favorite truck-stop killer getup and Julia Robert's niece, Emma, basically wore her pajamas while she strolled the festival with that kid from "Glee" (who looked pretty normal). I could go on and on...and on.

Let me start this post by pointing out a few similarities between Amanda Bynes and Lindsay Lohan:

- Both are former child-actors.
- Both haven’t acted in a film since 2010.
- Both are nowhere near as hot as they used to be.
- Both like to party.
- Both have had sex with Wilmer Valderrama. (Honestly taking a shot in the dark here, but the odds are with me.)
- Both have been arrested for DUI and immediately turned around and kept clubbing. So keeping all that in mind, Amanda Bynes would appreciate if you stop calling her “the new Lindsay Lohan”

Yes, people are making fun of Amanda Bynes because she’s a woman and not because she got arrested for DUI then spent the next 11 days stumbling out of bars to either back onto curbs while texting or take four hours to make a 3-point turn in the middle of goddamn West Hollywood. It’s all an intricate plot to destroy modern feminism by equating two unfortunate-looking 20-something train wrecks with each other. I honestly don’t know how she figured it out.

Amanda Bynes thinks it's "extremely unfair" that she is now being compared to Lindsay Lohan. The Easy A actress has been hitting the headlines a lot recently following her DUI arrest and heavy partying lifestyle. But sources close to the former teen star says she is nothing like the Mean Girls starlet despite the obvious similarities.

"Amanda thinks it's extremely unfair that people are calling her the new Lindsay Lohan" the insider told RadarOnline. "Comparisons between the two are just ridiculous as Amanda has never been arrested for drug possession or for stealing anything.

"Yes, she got arrested for a DUI, but that doesn't mean that she is headed down the same road as Lindsay. Amanda doesn't harbor any negative feelings towards Lindsay, she doesn't even know her, she just thinks it's sexist that the two are being compared.

"Men in Hollywood that get arrested for DUI's don't face the same scrutiny that women do and that is what really irks Amanda. She isn't taking the DUI arrest lightly."Amanda has apparently refused advice to enter rehab despite loved ones thinking she has been on a "downward spiral for the last six months."

The Amanda Bynes driving mishap could become a bi-weekly event at this rate. At about 10:30 last night, the actress was spotted in West Hollywood holding up traffic in the middle of Robertson Boulevard as she made an excruciatingly slow 3-point turn into the driveway at SUR restaurant. An eyewitness, who probably used to tattle on everyone in kindergarten, told People, "It was taking forever and she finally made it into the driveway. She looked wobbly – I guess it could have been the heels since she was wearing sky-high nude pumps, but she did seem out of it."

The witness also mentioned that Bynes forgot to pay the $8 valet charge and, on a totally irrelevant note, was looking awfully thin. Poor Amanda! After committing a very large traffic violation when she drunkenly plowed into a cop car, followed Saturday by a very minor one when she was caught texting while driving, the former Nickelodeon sketch comédienne ought to consider maybe not driving for a while and see how that goes. If she makes any more infuriatingly slow turns like this — especially in the Los Angeles area — someone who's tired, late for work, and slightly unhinged is going to freak out and confront her, because road rage is real, people, and Amanda Bynes is cruising for, if not a real confrontation, than a lot of really vulgar hand gestures.

Amanda Bynes isn't making smart decisions when it comes to driving. Last week she was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI). She spent several hours in police custody before posting $5,000 bail.

Last night the actress, 26, drove over a curb outside of Chateau Marmont. She appeared to be texting on her iPhone.  It is illegal to use a cell phone for texting while driving in California. File this one under "poor decision making."One thing is for sure - we don't want to be anywhere near the star when she's driving. Next time, it may be more than a curb that she runs over.
